  About VCIPT

 

The primary aim of the VCIPT is to advance the field of industrial process tomography to best meet the long-term needs of its participants.

 

To deliver on this aim, the VCIPT integrates a wide range of research skills (including computing, electronics, mathematics, physics, process engineering and particle science).

 

These are interfaced with process users from sectors as diverse as food, minerals, pharmaceuticals and petrochemicals.

 

The VCIPT's operational objectives are to: -

 

Process Tomography manage pre-competitive research between academics and industry
Process Tomography transfer technology to apply research
Process Tomography ensure continuity of world-leading research in on-line sensors
Process Tomography raise awareness of industrial process tomography potential
Process Tomography maintain funding for a visible international presence and critical mass of expertise
Process Tomography foster international linkages
