The future VCIPT consortium will be represented in corporate terms through the University of Leeds, which will manage interactions with the other academic partners, and undertake formal responsibilities such as the auditing of accounts.

The activities and programme of the VCIPT will be managed by a core management team consisting of: a commercial manager, four academic researchers, and three industrial representatives. The team is supported by:

Bullet a technical planning group, who review the research landscape, consult with industrial and academic members and organise peer reviews of research proposals
Bullet part-time administrator at The University of Manchester and Leeds University who co-ordinate communications, organise meetings etc...
Bullet University industrial liaison officers who manage contracts and intellectual property

The core management team meets four times per year and it is proposed that there will be two briefings per year. One will decide on new research proposals and allocation of internal funds, the other will be training based focussed on the needs of industrial consortium partners.
